Recently Sean Murphy, artist of The WAKE (written by Scott Snyder), drew concept art for the first new Batman Beyond 2.0 villain: Rewire. Influenced by different electrical parts and related items, his design is sleek and futuristic, and resembles to some degree the villains Shriek, Inque, and Spellbinder — who it appears he will also be working with.

As for his role in Batman Beyond 2.0 #5, not much is known, but he appears to either have the ability to create illusions or be in league with someone else who does…Spellbinder, perhaps. The description for Batman Beyond 2.0 #5 reads “In the midst of a city-wide crisis, Terry finds himself face-to-face with the original Bat-family! But are they really what they seem?” We’ll have to read to find out.
