During an E3 press preview event Friday, Warner Bros. Montreal Creative Director Eric Holmes spoke with EP Daily about Batman: Arkham Origins. Among the things discussed were Bane’s involvement in the story as one of the eight assassins hired by Black Mask to hunt Batman.
Holmes also mentioned that in this game, we won’t see the super-powered costumed villains we were shown in previous Arkham games. Instead, the story will focus not only on Batman’s growth as a crimefighter, but also on key relationships between Batman and his allies, specifically Alfred. At this early point in Batman’s crusades, Alfred is still struggling to understand why Bruce Wayne feels he has to dress up and go out fighting crime every night. So we might see a more resistant Alfred this time around, a la Michale Caine’s portrayal of the character in The Dark Knight trilogy.
What other allies would you like to see appear in Arkham Origins? How about assassins? So far we have Bane, Deadshot and Deathstroke all confirmed, but that’s it. What would make Arkham Origins a great game for you?
