Greg Capullo
Since Batman #12 will be epilogue to the “Court of Owls” story arc, Greg Capullo is taking a little break on this issue. When I say break, I mean the man’s work is not going to be on this issue. Here’s what Capullo said for his break on Batman #12:
Yeah, it’s the only opportunity I’ve had to take a break. I had initially wanted to do it all, but it just wasn’t feasible, so I had to make a choice. And the choice was, do I break off at #0 or do I break off at #12? And I just thought, “I really want to do this origin in #0.” So that’s what I’m working on while someone else handles #12.
New artist named Becky Cloonan will be the guest artist for Batman #12. You will really see the difference between Capullo’s work and Cloonan’s work because Capullo gives us much more detailed artwork compared to Cloonan who gives us a quick overview in certain panels to continue to the story. I am not saying that Cloonan is bad, no, but she has a different stroke of story telling from Capullo. It’s a breath of fresh air and we should welcome it because after Issue #12, it’s all going to be amazing and terrifying as the Joker will premiere in Issue #13.
