DC Comics announced it is publishing the Marvel crossover event Batman/ Deadpool.
This one-shot comic is not to be confused with Deadpool/ Batman that Marvel Comics is publishing on September 17th. DC’s version of the crossover features the creative team of Grant Morrison writing and Dan Mora on art. The comic will be a 64-page special that promises to be wildest, zaniest comic in a long time. DC describes it as a “reality-bending saga that’s equal parts cosmic horror, slapstick noir, and metafictional therapy session. It’s the kind of comic book that knows it’s a comic book, revels in being a comic book, weaponizes its comic bookiness—and dares you to keep reading anyway!” So you know that will be good!
Also, the crossover will feature Danny- the anthropomorphized street from Morrison’s Doom Patrol. so that will be a small taste of how insane the comic will be.
Other Marvel and DC Crossovers
Just like Deadpool/ Batman, the one-shot will feature the headlining team-up of Batman and Deadpool, as well as other Marvel and DC heroes crossing-over.
Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, and Joshua Williamson write a Constantine and Dr. Strange team-up with Hayden Sherman doing art. The award-winning Nightwing creative team of Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo will do a Nightwing and Wolverine/ X-23 match-up. Mariko Tamaki and Amanda Conner are the creative team for a Harley Quinn vs. Hulk showdown, where it involves a hot dog eating contest. Finally, G. Willow Wilson and Denys Cowan will handle a Static and Ms. Marvel crossover.
