DC Comics Cancelling Three Titles In April

April will be bringing about changes in the comic world. According to sources at bleedingcool.com, DC will be cancelling Titans, Damage and Scooby-Doo Apocalypse. The most unsurprising cancellation of the trio is Scooby-Doo Apocalypse. A title that was a part of the Hanna-Babera/DC crossover, for me it makes more sense that DC would cancel this title over the other two.

A Titanic Title

Titans is a comic that has been running for a while and is possibly the strangest of the three cancellations. The pulling power that this title has, especially after the recent live action show, is grounds to keep it going… at least, you’d think so. It seems, however, that DC are getting rid of some their more well known titles. Suicide Squad‘s issue 50 was also it’s last.

I can only hope that this isn’t the end of Titans, but just a temporary break. Read the synopsis for the final issue below;

“Into the Bleed” finale! It’s all been building to this! Witness the battle for the fate of the entire Multiverse as our heroes tackle Mother Blood and her armies of Unearth! Mother’s plan to use the Bleed to spread her power throughout every corner of the fabric of reality has reached its zenith, and she’s pulling out all the stops to see to it the Titans fail in stopping her. But even with Raven’s soul-self reunited, can the team rescue their heavy hitters Kyle Rayner and Steel before it’s too late? Don’t miss this melee of multiversal mayhem! FINAL ISSUE

Damage Control

Damage is yet another “New Age of DC Heroes” comic title to be cancelled. As to why DC Comics have started to whittle down their comics is another thing entirely. I’m hoping that it’s because they have something good planned for them. More comics please!

Read the synopsis for the final issue below;

Captured by Echidna, the goddess of monsters, Ethan and Congo Bill must rely on their wits as humans rather than strength as giant powerhouses in order to survive. But do these men stand a chance against the mother of all colossal beasts? Find out in the shocking finale of our series! FINAL ISSUE
