LEGO to Release ‘Batman Forever’ Batmobile

The Batman Forever Batmobile is the latest Bat-vehicle to get the LEGO treatment.

The set is 909 piece set big and it costs $99.99 USD. It is set to release August 1st, 2025, but you can pre-order it now. This sucker is pretty big. It clocks in at 16 inches long and 17 inches tall. Yes, it is taller than it is longer. But to be fair, that height is mostly due to the enormous back-fin on the rear of the Batmobile.

The car is also adorned with the neon blue trim to simulate the light up body of the vehicle in the movie. The cockpit top can pop open to place your Batman mini-figure inside. Unfortunately it doesn’t do that cool open and slide down the hood effect that most Batmobiles are known to do.

The set also comes with a Batman mini-figure. However, the Batman design they chose is Batman’s sonar armor suit. Canonically, he only dawned that version of the suit after the Riddler invaded the Batcave and blew up the Batmobile. If LEGO wanted to be more film-accurate, they would have included the mini-figure of Batman wearing the panther suit complete with tiny little nipples.

The Origins of the ‘Batman Forever’ Batmobile

Of course Bat-fans are familar with this incarnation of the Batmobile. The 1995 film Val Kilmer-led Batman Forever featured the famous car. Famous artist and film designer HR Giger- the designer of the original Xenomorph from Alien– created the initial concepts for the car.

However, Giger’s design was still pretty creepy and out-there. His initial design resembled a giant organic-looking chromosome, rather than any functional vehicle. After the initial pass, the filmmakers added more traditional Batmobile elements to it, such as the bat-fins and the  black finish. Still you can see design choices that is Giger-influenced, such as the rib cage.

You can preorder the Batmobile right now at LEGO’s official site here.
