Collectible toy maker Hot Toys revealed a new Batman figure taken from the Batman Returns film.
The Batman toy is more than just a re-issuing of their Batman ’89 figure. This one features Batman’s more sculpted armor from Batman Returns. It also has all of the traits associated with Hot Toy figures: realistic likenesses of Michael Keaton, 30 points of articulation, fabric cape, multiple alternate hands and face plates, and that creepy rolling eye system that makes the figures a mite too uncanny valley.
Oh, and the accessories. There are so many accessories that were only featured in the 1992 sequel film. Hot Toys also include the horizontal line launcher, some zip lines, an improved grapple gun, the modified remote Batarang, two napalm capsules that he injured Catwoman with, a Batmobile remote, and a rocket launch remote that controlled the Penguin’s penguin army.
The coolest feature however is the actual bat-wings glider cape that Batman used to glide around Gotham’s union square amongst a bat attack. This wingspan is massive-looking. It is wild that Hot Toys was able to make it work.
Batman Deluxe and Collector Editions
The normal Collector edition also comes with a figure stand with the snow-draped Batman Returns logo as the base.
However, if you also get the deluxe edition of the figure, it comes with much more. The Deluxe Edition’s base is way cooler. It is a rooftop diorama figure base with the Schreck Industries smiling cat logo on it. The Deluxe Edition also includes an additional unmasked Bruce Wayne head and a torn bat cowl.
The regular Collector Edition Batman figure will go for $285. You can pre-order it here. The Deluxe Edition Batman figure will cost $340 USD. You can pre-order it here. Both figures are expected to ship some time in the latter half of 2025.
