Multiversity: Harley Screws Up The DCU #1 is upon us! Any other Harley fans feeling might already feel spoiled in 2023, because if you don’t after seeing the alumni proudly putting their stamp on this book… are you even breathing?

When I first heard about this series I was sold on the wild ride it promised. Of course, this isn’t the first time the concept of a universe being destroyed has happened, but c’mon… this is Harley Quinn! The possibilities are endless and we’re here for it.

Condiment King’s Hot Dogs

With Harley Quinn back on Coney Island, the welcome party’s over the moon to have her back. The gang of Harleys gives her updates on their escapades, and their mixed results. Mailman Red Tool arrives with all kinds of mail for Harley but one, in particular, catches her eye. A letter of inheritance leads Harley and the gang to a warehouse full of old Magician performance staples… and something hidden under a tarp called the “Wayback Booth”

Pushing the button sends Harley to a place where Starro has a foothold and her friends are there to greet her as she exits. However, Red soon shows her that her friends are not there for her unless her assimilation is guaranteed. Things get real fast and Harley gets an intervention from a caped figure who talks to their “Lucille” style bat. Harley learns Starro gaining a foothold is all her fault…

Push Here, Stupid

With Harley Screws Up The DCU #1, we get a fun story with funky artwork. Plus, getting to see all the amazing covers by stellar Harley Quinn alumni was stunning. With Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti, Riley Rossmo and Ivan Plascencia, Logan Faerber, and Chad Hardin with Jason Wright contributing covers, what fans get is a buffet. Each cover grants a new adventure or a stimulating experience for the reader. My personal favorite has to be the Jay and Barry one though, as the facial expressions are brilliant.

Frank Tieri, Logan Faerber, and Ferran Delgado give us a small taste of what’s to come in this first issue. This is a simple concept done in a unique and fun way that gives us endless possibilities. The artwork really hit its stride when we get to see the world now that Starro is in control. That Ferris Wheel’s absolutely stunning.

Conclusion

Harley Screws Up The DCU #1 is a really fun read, and there is so much humor.  Looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds. It promises to be a joy. See you for the next one!
