Videos of The Batman Part II leaked online depicting a thrilling chase between the Batmobile and the police.
Matt Reeves’ sequel to The Batman has finally started filming in Glasgow, Scotland. Locals are taking pictures of the crew redressing or putting up Gotham City related decorations and signs all over the Scottish city. Also notice how the ground is snow draped, despite it being filmed in the end of summer.
Batmobile vs the Cops
However the biggest thing locals noticed were the plethora of Gotham City Police Department vehicles. The streets are littered with both GCPD squad cars and SWAT vans. There are now leaked videos of the film crew shooting a chase scene between the Batmobile and the GCPD.
There are multiple videos posted online and they all capture just a small snippet of the filming. However, after we went through all of the footage it looks like that the police are chasing after the Batmobile, with some SWAT members straight-up shooting at it. The GCPD vehicles seem to chase it a bit. Even as more squad cars join in on the chase, the Batmobile does a few donuts to evade them.

Finally, it seems like Batman’s luck is at an end when a SWAT van rams itself into the Batmobile. Does that disable the Dark Knight’s vehicle? It is difficult to say, since the Batmobile is a tough car.

Connecting ‘The Batman’ to ‘The Batman Part II’
It seems obvious that Batman is on the outs with the law again. The Batman depicted a tenuous relationship with the Dark Knight and the GCPD. Initially, there was a shaking truce with them where the cops begrudgingly accepted Batman’s help to investigate the mayor’s murder- probably at the behest of Lt. James Gordon. Then when the Riddler’s murders became more frequent and bigger in scale, Batman was captured by the police and barely avoided recapture with Gordon’s assist (i.e. getting punched in the face). Finally, due to the Batman’s heroics in saving the newly-elected mayor and countless other citizens from the Riddler’s flooding plan, Gotham seemed to look at him as a beacon of hope.
But between that time and the sequel, the police seem to be hunting Batman yet again.
The movie will continue filming in Glasgow until September, although that does not necessarily mean that it will be done filming all together.
The Batman Part II hits theaters February 18, 2028.
