Batman Day 2022 is set for September 17 and will include giveaways, contests, theatrical screenings of classic Batman films, and activities for Bat-fans all around the world.

Batman Day is a global celebration of the Dark Knight and his colorful cast of characters. The best part is how it always highlights all the different media that the Caped Crusader has dominated; from comics to films, kids’ cartoons, and video games. You name it, Batman Day will have it.

Batman Day Giveaways

In America, local comic shops will be giving a reprint copy of Batman #608- the first issue in the renowned Hush storyline. Written by Jeph Loeb and drawn by Jim Lee, the reprint comes in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the story. Fans can pick up the first issue for free, then read the rest when the 20th-anniversary hardcover comes out on October 12th.

For younger fans, comic shops are also giving away a free copy of Batman’s Mystery Casebook. The first chapter of the upcoming DC Middle-Grade title, by writer Sholly Fisch and artist Christopher Uminga.

Batman Online

On social media, fans can follow @Batman on Twitter to see various members of Batman’s rogues’ gallery taking pot shots at our hero. Currently, the Penguin’s trying to get the hashtag #batmandaysux to start trending. Good luck with that, Cobblepot.

September 17 also will mark the debut of the preschool-age cartoon show Batwheelswhich will premiere on Cartoonito on HBO Max.

Starting now, season two of the scripted Batman: The Audio Adventures podcast starring Jeffrey Wright is also available on all streaming platforms.

On the video games side, there will be Batman-exclusive material on the fighting game MultiVersus and Injustice 2 Mobile.
