Warner Bros is releasing a Batman ’89 Ultimate Collectors Edition 4K ULTRA HD Steelbook.
Tim Burton directs; Michael Keaton stars as Batman; and Jack Nicholson plays his arch foe, The Joker, in the first of the blockbuster Batman series of features. As the Dark Knight, defender of law and order in Gotham City, Batman treads the shadow zone between right and wrong, fighting with only his skill in martial arts and his keenly honed mind to defend the innocent and purge the memory of his parents’ brutal murder–always keeping his true identity as millionaire philanthropist Bruce Wayne a closely guarded secret. Based upon Batman characters created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger and published by DC Comics.
The Batman ’89 Ultimate Collectors Edition Steelbook includes 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray, a Collectible Steelbook case, Premium packaging with unique artwork, a 16-page booklet, 5 Lobby Cards, 5 Art Cards, and a 2-sided Poster.
The Steelbook also has a ton of special features which include commentary by Director Tim Burton, on the Set with Bob Kane, Legends of the Dark Knight: The History of Batman, Shadows of the Bat: The Cinematic Saga of the Dark Knight Parts 1–3, Beyond Batman Documentary Gallery, 3 Prince Music Videos, The Heroes and The Villains, Profile Galleries, Batman: The Complete Robin Storyboard Sequence and the Theatrical Trailer.
The Ultimate Collectors Steelbook is available to pre-order from the Warner Bros shop and is expected to ship by July 4th.
Also available for pre-order is the Batman Returns Ultimate Collector’s Edition Steelbook. The special features include commentary by Director Tim Burton, The Bat, the Cat, and the Penguin: Making-of Featurette Shadows of the Bat: The Cinematic Saga of the Dark Knight Part 4, Beyond Batman Documentary Gallery, Siouxsie and the Banshees’ “Face to Face” Music Video, The Heroes and The Villains Profile Galleries and the Theatrical Trailer.
