Sometimes heroes are made, not born, and superpowers can be found in the most mysterious of places. In Gotham City, there are Super Heroes, (and Super Villains), who have been transformed by tragedy into something greater. Having experienced the death of someone close, their grief has given them power. Not unlike Bruce Wayne, after experiencing the tragic death of his parents as a child, he now fights to clean up Gotham City in their memory.

Park Row Restaurant and James Bulmer are proud to announce their official charity partnership with UK children’s bereavement charity, Grief Encounter, supporting children and young people who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or someone close.

To celebrate the launch of the partnership, Park Row has introduced the “Gotham City’s Saviour” dish (250g Black Angus Rib eye steak, Chimichurri) to their menu, and for every dish sold, they will donate £1 to Grief Encounter.

Founded by Dr. Shelley Gilbert MBE over 15 years ago, Grief Encounter’s mission is to give every bereaved child and young person access to the best possible professional support. Their unique free, face-face and online services help with the confusion, fear, loneliness, and pain of grief, providing a lifeline to children and young people when they need it most.

They do this through:
  • One-to-one counseling
  • Group workshops
  • Music, art, and drama therapy
  • Residentials and Family Fun Days
  • Grief Relief Kits with resources for children and their families
  • Grieftalk – A National, free, and confidential helpline, offering web chat service too
