Holy ring in the changes, Batman! Issue #125 will feature an updated logo to coincide with Chip Zdarsky taking over as the new writer.

The new creative team taking over with issue #125 will also see Jorge Jimenez returning as the artist. On Twitter, Jimenez showed off the title’s new logo.

It’s actually fairly similar to the previous one, with the biggest difference being that it has the bat symbol inside of the title’s text, as opposed to it being set behind it. The new formatting really emphasizes the bat-shaped scalloping that the lower half of the text forms.

I’m not going to lie, before the debut of the new logo, I didn’t even notice the subtle bat symbol etched into the bottom of the text.

The last time there was a major logo revamp was during 2011’s “New 52” era of DC Comics. That’s when the logo started bearing closer resemblance to the Arkham Asylum video game logo.

Batman #125 hits comic book shops on July 5.
