Zack Snyder Reacts to ‘Restore Synder-Verse’ Campaign

Justice League director Zack Snyder wants fans to know he has no plans on returning to making more DCEU movies.

In an interview, at the Zack Snyder-centric Justice Con, the director said that, while he is open to the idea, he also warned fans that the most likely answer is ‘No’.

I’ll just say this. It’s a concept that I think shows reverence for the work. In that way, whatever it results in, I have no idea. Most likely nothing. … The reverence for the work is something I would never dismiss or in any way say I don’t respect. Of course, I would give my entire effort to support… If someone says to me no matter who that person is, if they say to me “I really loved that thing, I wish you would make another one” I’m personally not a person who says “forget it”, because I think that’s rude.

Zack Snyder on Being Gracious

The Restore the Snyder-Verse social media campaign has been pushing for Warner Bros. executives to restore the DCEU continuity to the one that Zack Snyder originally envisioned. However, given how the studio has, since then,, but created several successful movies within the same shared continuity that have deviated from Snyder’s original plans, this seems unlikely.

It appears that Snyder was just being gracious, and appreciative of his fans’ enthusiasm for his DC work.

He originally wanted to finish Justice League, since he’d already shot so much of it, that he really wanted to get some closure. Snyder worked hard on his version of the filmbut now that it’s complete, he probably just wants to move onto different projects.  It doesn’t seem like Snyder’s creatively interested in diving back into the DCEU at this time.

However, never say never. It was said that the Snyder-Cut of the Justice League would never happen, but look where we are now.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is currently streaming on HBO Max.
