JSA #11 starts off in high tension as we get a two part cover that depicts the beginning of the oncoming war. Leonardo Romero gives the Injustice Society lineup as they are slated for the apex of battle.  These types of covers really are my favorite because of the collection of a two part cover, and because you get such a roster of characters on the cover.  Romero gives readers an amazing action scene. That said, let’s dive into the action ourselves!

Kent Nelson Sends His Regard.

Rick and Jessie’s awkwardness is where JSA #11 begins and instantly the conversation steers towards Beth and the emotional bone. Reunited, they inform Beth of the knowledge of the Injustice Society’s plan and head to join the team. On Blackhawk Island Alan tries to get through to Ruby but her mind is fully made up and Wotan is not ready to wait any longer to get his revenge. Then Kid Eternity II appears Hawks in tow and things seem hopeful.

But Wotan is crafty and knows when to tuck tail. The Justice Society begins to come back together in more ways than one. But the gears have shifted and the machine has already begun to stir. There may have been many resurgence in team effort and bonds but is it too little too late?  By the by, where is Fate taking …Fate?

It’s The End Of The World As We Know It

I am constantly blown away by having such a mixed blend of nostalgia and modernity with JSA as a whole. However, JSA #11 is such a perfect example from the two part battle cover as the battle begins to climax, to the heartwarming moment of loved ones coming back to one another. The JSA team continue to bring excellence as well as the coziness of a familiar conversation with a friend.

Reminiscing in a new way while keeping with those moments in which we jeer the hardest at the villains while championing our heroes. When Kid Eternity II said her hello to Wotan, I hollered. Unashamed, it is a great moment to be immersed in the midst of the battle playing out.  One of the many precious moments JSA #11 offers, another being the long awaited reunion of family. The artwork for the hug scene and Todd’s smile are genuinely priceless, beautiful artwork.

Conclusion

JSA #11 leads us up to and to the beginning of a cataclysmic event. Will the newly reformed Justice Society be able to take on these “Unnamed Ones?” Let’s find out together next time, friends!
