You’ve likely heard that this Wednesday, July 23 is Batman Day. DC Comics is celebrating the Dark Knight’s 75th Anniversary by giving away a free special edition of Detective Comics #27. You can find this and other promo items at participating comic shops, bookstores, and libraries.
Below you can check out some preview pages from the free ‘Tec 27. Four stories will be included: the first Batman story ever told, “The Case of the Chemical Syndicate” by Bill Finger and Bob Kane; a reimagining of that story by Brad Meltzer and Bryan Hitch; a sci-fi futuristic story by Scott Snyder and Sean Murphy; and a preview of a tale that hearkens back to the original by Brad Meltzer and Chip Kidd.
