Infinite Crisis Profiles Zatanna

Infinite Crisis, WB’s forthcoming Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA), now profiles the sorceress extraordinaire and former Batman lover (if you ask Paul Dini), Zatanna. Click the jump to see more.

It seems like this profiles are coming weekly, therefore I should prepare myself for several more of these. The last couple weeks gave us Nightmare Batman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern. This week is Zatanna. The most striking feature about Turbine’s Zatanna is the fact that they decided to dress her up in pink. Interesting choice, but it obviously has nothing to do with gameplay.

However, this video does:

Well, we can’t live without our support characters, so I suppose one of our favorite characters had to make a sacrifice. As you can see, I’m not a fan of support, preferring offensive characters. I feel like it’s more fun duking it out in the actual brawl than to stand on the sidelines casting spells to help out your teammates. Zatanna seems boring and it’s unfortunate because like Green Lantern, her capabilities are near limitless. Also disappointed that they didn’t get a voice actress to shout her trademark backwards spells, but it’s still early.

One of the coolest things about this video is that we’re getting some sneak peeks at Poison Ivy and Joker gameplay. I’m really enjoying the tentacles on Ivy. Hopefully, her most powerful attack involves summoning a monstrous plant from the ground to eat anyone who opposes her!

Turbine Studios are currently developing Infinite Crisis. There is no set release date for the game, but Beta testing is in progress. You can sign up here.

How do you feel about Zatanna’s gameplay? How do you feel about the choice of costume? Do you like the fact that she’s a support character?
