The Wachowskis
Yesterday, we heard that the Wachowskis are rumored to be Warner Bros. top picks as directors of the Justice League movie. They’re not a bad pick either. They are devoted comic book lovers plus, they are committed to being faithful to the comic book references. They can bring true dark and grittiness to the movie.
The Wachowskis are not just about all comic book-y portrayals, they are also about concept and philosophy. This can be found in The Matrix Trilogy, which is their legacy. So the two directors are like Joss Whedon with all his action pack and Christopher Nolan’s concept and beautiful philosophy. Which is kind of like getting your cake (concept) and eating ice cream (action) with it. This is a great thing for the Justice League movie.
However, there are fans who are a bit apprehensive with the Wachowskis working on the movie. Here are some comments made by DKN fans on the DKN Facebook:
Rodney Reed It definitely would work. We already seen them do Superman effects with Neo, and sorta Flash effects. Now that CGI is even better they’d kick ass with a Justice League. Just leave Keeanu out. I don’t wanna hear fanboys bitching. Fishbourne could be Martian Manhunter though!
Will Hatch I’d be interested. The only thing I’d be apprehensive about is the dialogue. The Matrix was a great movie, don’t get me wrong. The premise was brilliant, as was the action and the visuals, but the dialogue was pretty stilted.
So who feels similar to these guys? Are we ready to see Keenau Reeves be part of this Justice League movie? Lawerence Fishbourne as Martian Manhunter? Could the Wachowskis make the Justice League too wordy that will confuse the audience?
