This series can’t end fast enough for me. Batman as guest star in his own comic. The storytelling was vague. The value for your money was worse. If you paid $14 for The Dark Knight Returns in 1986, you could expect to pay about $30 for the series in 2017. Instead, I’ve paid $54 to have the 9 books. Bad story, bad-storytelling, bad bang for the buck.

    • I too was frustrated for a bit. Being a completist, I found myself buying each issue and was in so deep, figured I might as well stick it out and buy them all. However, rereading it all in one long sitting will make it for a better story in my opinion. Had I known it was going to take almost 2 years to complete a 9-issue story, I would have waited for the trade (out this fall). I posted a review of this issue on Dark Knight News. Check it out and let me know what you think. I loved this issue.
