Review by James Attias
Batman and Robin #26 continues the story of the new deadly Quiet Man…
Who Why When
Another fantastic issue of Batman and Robin. This book is showing growth for the dynamic duo and I couldn’t be more thrilled. We have formidable villains, in Penguin and Two-Face. Both shaken at the mention of who this new foe could be. We have Damian making friends with kids his own age. My heart is so full of joy reading this. Then we come to the guilt. The events at the end of last issue all occurred when Bruce and Damian for the first time in a million years. Took a night to be father and son and go and see a movie. So this week for different reasons they both are feeling the “we should have been there” guilt. It’s the same feeling I have when I eat a Snickers bar instead of doing push ups so I’m strong and can be a superhero. I love this writing and I love this dynamic. Keep. It. Coming.
Coin Toss
Who is the Quiet Man? At first I thought he was a new character. Then I thought he might be another son of Ra’s al Ghul, similar to The Help, who has been featured in Tom King’s The Penguin and Killing Time books. Someone who is new but has deep ties to another character. Then as the issue progressed I teetered between the two. My final conclusion was I’m enjoying it and want more of the same.
Conclusion
Batman and Robin #26 is a fantastic dose of fuel to the fire of this already fantastic title. The next issue can’t come soon enough!
