Superman Legacy director James Gunn has debunked the casting rumor that Jensen Ackles will play the Dark Knight in the upcoming Brave and Bold film.
Per an “insider report” the Supernatural star Ackles will be Bruce Wayne/ Batman. They also claimed that Javon Walton will play Robin/Damian Wayne, Wolfgang Novogratz is Nightwing/Dick Grayson, and Clancy Brown is Alfred Pennyworth.

Naturally, the DC Studios CEO debunked the claims. On Threads, James Gunn specifically called out these “scoops” saying that Brave and Bold’s script has not even been written yet, much less cast.
The rumor about Ackles being Batman most likely sprung from the popular fan casting of The Boys‘ star becoming the next Caped Crusader.
However, very little is known about the movie, not even the release date. All that’s known so far is that the film will star Batman alongside Damian Wayne’s Robin. The movie will be based on Grant Morrison’s run on Batman. Andy Muschietti will direct the film.
