Christian Bale confessed on a recent podcast that he has not seen the most recent movies starring Ben Affleck as Batman.
In fact, the former Batman actor went on to confess that he actually does not care for superhero movies in general. Bale admitted that his movie watching habits are at the mercy of his children.
“I have not [seen Ben Affleck’s Batman]. Yes, I’m interested [in seeing it], my son seemed like he was really interested, but then I realized he just wanted to see the trailer and that was it—I tend to go see films that [my kids] want to see. I have to confess I’m not a huge superhero film fan. People seem surprised at that, I don’t know why. I’ve not seen any of the Avengers films or any of those films at all. I hear they’re very good, but I’m quite happy just hearing they’re very good.”
Bale’s Blase Bat-titude
Bale’s apathetic attitude may come as a surprise to some fans of the actor. Many hail his portrayal of Batman in The Dark Knight movies as one of the best of the superhero genre. Still, some people forget that Batman was just one of many roles that Bale has done. He is not obligated by the character in any way. His time has come and gone. It is clear that Bale has moved on.
