Powerless released a new clip that has a Van Wayne on the phone with his much more famous cousin Bruce.
Alan Tudyk is featured in the clip as the hapless Van Wayne, who gets exciting news from his secretary telling him that his cousin is on the line. Van – who is super psyched – prepares his “cool” voice to talk to “B-Dubs”. What happens next? Watch the clip to find out!
While we can certainly expect jokes like this on Powerless, do not expect Bruce himself to make an appearance in any form. Executive producer Justin Halpern made it clear at a recent press conference, that if you want to see Bruce, then it will have to be Ben Affleck himself. Unfortunately, the likelihood of that happening is practically zero.
“Even if you want to see [Bruce Wayne’s] hands pop into frame, you’d have to go get [Ben] Affleck; you can’t just have anyone’s hands. Usually [Warner Bros.] is very protective of their characters — for good reason. A lot of people invest a lot in these characters”
Even if Bruce Wayne will not physically appear, Bat-fans can expect a healthy amount of easter eggs on Powerless; like this viral commercial they put out for Anti-Joker venom.
Powerless premieres on February 2, 2016 on NBC.
