With the imminent launch of DC’s Rebirth, we’re starting to get a lot more information on what to expect from this summer’s newly relaunched books. Today, Comic Vine revealed the cover and solicit information for the second issue of the newly relaunched Batgirl.
The synopsis is as follows:
“Beyond Burnside” part two. Batgirl is off to Singapore! Following the mysterious advice of the ancient superhero known as Fruit Bat, Babs dives into the dangerous world of MMA fighting. But her first opponent may be more than just an adversary in the ring. Could she be connected to Babs’ new travel-companion-slash-maybe-crush?
Batgirl #2 is written by Hope Larson with art/cover by Rafael Albuquerque and a variant cover by Francis Manapul.
The issue goes on sale August 24th and retails at $2.99.
