It’s not very often that I write something to go along with a solicit, but I felt the need to this time. I figured that some fans may wonder if Greg Capullo is off the book after seeing this, but that’s not the case. He will be back in the fall. As the solicit below states, this issue will bring the flagship title back to the present in August after the conclusion of Zero Year in Batman #33. I think it’s a good idea to do a “filler” of sorts before starting a new arc because, as you may remember, September will see New 52 titles tie-in to Futures End. It’s for the better that the next major arc go uninterrupted. Plus, it gives Capullo extra time to work.
