The official Batman: Arkham Twitter has released the very first look at Batman’s XE (Extreme Environment) suit to be featured in the upcoming Batman: Arkham Origins DLC, Cold, Cold Heart.
I may have just found out last week, but it seems that Batman was meant to don a new suit to do battle with Mr. Freeze. I suppose I was pretty slow on the uptake. In my defense, who’s really paying attention to Cold, Cold Heart when Arkham Knight is coming out? Regardless, the news here is that a couple days ago, the official Batman: Arkham Twitter decided to do the big reveal for the XE suit. And it looks pretty cool.

From what I can gather, the suit is going to be incredibly bulky to presumably shield him from extreme heat, extreme cold, or the Running of the Bulls. Let’s be honest, it’s a tank of a suit. You can also see the orange glowing gauntlets. So, will the thermal gauntlets be readily available with the suit or will they also need to be obtained? I can’t imagine that this general purpose suit will have built-in gauntlets meant for Freeze… or Alfred equipped the suit with the gauntlets prior to sending it out… OR this suit was meant for Freeze? Too many possibilities that don’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.
