You remember the Knightfall story arc, right? If you don’t, here’s a refresher:
Remember now? Okay, good. Knightfall is one of the most iconic Batman stories of all time, mainly because of the image you just saw. Originally a crossover arc, appearing all Bat-titles, the story can now be found in various graphic novel collections, a novel adaptation, and many references in all things Batman, including Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.
However, did you ever know you could LISTEN to it? That’s right, listen. BBC radio apparently did a full production of the series. Take a listen.
Knightfall has always received mixed reviews, and I can’t say the entire arc is one of my favorite Batman stories of all time. I can say the first book, ending with the iconic moment of back-breaking, easily enters into my top ten favorite moments in Batman history. With this radio production, however, I could easily appreciate the entire arc more.
