Warner Home Video announced their upcoming animated projects and, as always, Batman is at the forefront. On Friday July 19th, at SDCC, they revealed that along with Justice League: War, 2014 will also host Son of Batman and Batman: Assault on Arkham.
Son of the Batman is based on Grant Morrison’s Batman and Son which focuses on Damian Wayne, the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia Al Ghul, as he comes into Bruce’s life for the first time.
Batman: Assault on Arkham still remains a bit of a mystery as it is said to be an animated movie taking advantage of the high-profile “Arkham” brand. While more than likely this is in reference to The Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City video games, one can certainly hope DC is double dipping on Morrison’s work and attempting and adaptation of his graphic novel Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth.
