A couple of days ago, it was reported that Kevin Conroy would be voicing Batman in the upcoming game, Batman: Arkham Origins. That report, however, seems to have stirred some confusion as to the true nature of Conroy’s words.
During the Dallas Comic-Con this past weekend, Conroy said that he is working on a new Arkham game and there was much exultation. However, that buzz was killed when later on he posted to Twitter claiming that even though he is working on a new Arkham game, it will not be Origins, coming this fall.
His involvement is going to be with Rocksteady Studios, who brought us Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.
Conroy later deleted the tweet, probably due to some contractual obligation. However, as we all know, once such news is on the internet, it will spread like a wild fire.
Arkham Origins‘ Batman will be voiced by the younger Roger Craig Smith (Assassin’s Creed, Resident Evil 5). It seems like a natural choice to opt for a younger voice actor in a game that is set to be based in a setting where Batman is younger.
