Detective Comics is sure to get people interested again in the storytelling as well as the artistry. Of course, Tony Daniel did not disappoint us with his artwork. The storytelling was lacking true mystery and depth that Detective Comics is suppose to have. Now that John Layman (current writer of Detective Comics) has come with his Issue #13, here’s what to expect from this comic book:
- Issue #13 will be a race against time storyline.
- The New Detective Comics will be very similar to Batman: The Animated Series
- Expectations: tons of gadgets, great action, and lots of characters.
Jason Fabok (current artist of Detective Comics) stated this in his interview with Project Fanboy:
Each issue has its own story, it’s own core mystery that Batman must solve, but each part plays into a larger tale. Every issue I get from John really makes me want to ramp things up. I hope that fans will give us a try with issue 13, 14 and 15 because John really has some killer stories brewing in his head.
