Fan Creates ‘Batman vs IT/Pennywise’ Trailer

There are a lot of fans out there who have the training and skills to create things that are sometimes even more enthralling than any Hollywood production out there. It’s their love for the craft that push them to do things that make them happy and make other people happy. They just don’t require the backing of a major motion studio to do so. In this case, this fan just needed a lot of footage from the previous Batman movies and the IT trailer.

Currently, the new adaptation of Stephen King’s IT has become a massive sensation, with moviegoers turning out in droves to see the murderous clown entity. And it looks like a Batfan was part of that hype.

A couple days ago, Adeel of Steel put up the Batman vs IT/Pennywise trailer and it is… for lack of a better term, pretty darn cool. I find it very hard to describe because it’s so bizarre to me that to mash up those two characters like that. I suppose the link is there. Batman’s greatest foe is a psychotic clown, so imagine one with supernatural powers.

The trailer is extremely well cut, especially being able to meld different narratives together as well as he did. The bulk of the footage is from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but you can see clips of Suicide Squad and I believe Batman Forever in there as well. And of course, scenes from IT.

But the most impressive feat is how he managed to go deeper by delving into Batman’s psyche. Bruce’s nightmare featured in the trailer is absolutely spectacular. Just from existing footage, he was able to cut together a theme so cohesive that it could actually show up in a script somewhere.

Cool? Bizarre? Wicked? Terrible? Let me know what you think.
