LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight released a trailer teasing the Mayhem Collection downloadable content.
The Mayhem Collection is a Joker and Harley Quinn-themed DLC that includes the Sinister Pack. The Sinister Pack adds cosmetic content: new Joker-themed outfits for the playable characters, an additional Batmobile, and five new Batcave customization props. Additionally they have Story Mission, which is a completely new side game where players can be either Joker or Harley as they breakout of Arkham Asylum. The new Story Mission characters are not just a re-skin of the previously released game. It boasts of the Joker and Harley having their own unique combat moves, items, power-ups, and signature takedowns.
The trailer shows the Joker and Harley meeting for the first time in Arkham Asylum. They quickly evolve into a criminal duo that is trying to escape Arkham. Then the wildest reveal of the trailer is that Amanda Waller calls in Task Force X (aka the Suicide Squad) to stop the Joker and Harley. So we see Killer Croc teamed with Rick Flag, Katana, King Shark, Captain Boomerang, Polka Dot Man, Deathstroke, and- most randomly Mongal!

Now that is a character I’d never expect to see in a Batman game.

Finally they have Mayhem Mode. Mayhem Mode has Joker and Harley running around and causing chaos in Gotham City. Regarding the gameplay, it introduces a roguelite structure to the gameplay, which is pretty different from the main game’s design. Here, players need to complete discrete “Mayhem Runs”, with progression carrying across the attempts. There are five Mayhem Runs in the Mayhem Mode with different mission objectives.
Some of the different Mayhem Runs are as followed: “Welcome to the Crew” and “Full House” where you need to recruit henchpeople. “Base of Operations” makes players expand their villain hideout.
The Mayhem Collection DLC will be available for player who purchased LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight: Deluxe Edition on September 19th. If you own the standard edition of the game, you can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for $24.99 USD.
