DC announced that the next chapter of “Hush 2” Batman #163 is delayed by an additional two months.
The issue has already had 5-month delay, which would have pushed it to January 2026. But now the new delay is pushing the comic back to the new release date of March 25, 2026.
The Publish History of ‘Hush 2’
Originally, the plan was for “Hush 2” to be released in two parts. The first six-issue run would run from Batman #158 through #163. Then the second six-issue installment would come at a later undisclosed date. The first three chapters released in a monthly time table. Then, part four came out two months later. And then the most recent part five came out a whopping four months later. Now it seems that part six will come out another four months after issue #162.
The Continuity Quagmire Created by the Delays
To add to the scheduling cluster that is Batman, we simultaneously have Matt Fraction and Jorge Jimenez’s title relaunch occurring at the same time. As of reporting, the newly relaunched book has been coming out like clockwork every month.

However, the bigger issue with the delays is how it confuses fans as far as where events transpired in continuity. There are many examples where Fraction’s run wildly deviates from whatever is occurring in “Hush 2”. For example, Batman and Damian Wayne all sport different costumes. Also, the Riddler is very different visually and personality-wise in “Hush 2” and Fraction’s current run.
To make matters even more confounding is how “Hush 2” writer Jeph Loeb previously promised that the story line will affect Fraction’s run in some way. During a Discord “Ask Me Anything” segment, Loeb confirmed that they are setting up plot points for Fraction’s take on the title.
“Yes, it is in current continuity. You can see that in the fact that it refers to things that happen currently…. we wanted an opportunity for Jim [Lee] to redesign a few things. And also- nod nod, wink wink- it might be something for our friends [upcoming creative team] Matt Fraction and Jorge Jimenez might be doing for when they come on the book… If you see something added, it’s on purpose.”
So who knows how the delays will affect whatever Loeb and artist Jim Lee were setting up for Fraction and Jimenez.
