Titans #26 takes two of our heroes on a little sidequest, to save The Doom Patrol!
The Doom that Came to Garfield
When you read the Titans, there are always a bunch of things you can rely on. Deathstroke is never far away. A few of the team members will be hooking up, and there is always a revolving door of people who need to leave the team to do their own thing. This team right now is probably the best Titans team you can get in my opinion, especially when Wally zips in for a gratuitous cameo. So when this issue started with people starting to leave, I started sweating. But fear not faithful readers! We’ve got some stories left to read for us yet.
This story takes two of our most recently traumatized Titans on a little break to see Gar’s old family/Team The Doom Patrol. Since the hit series came out everyone now knows and loves the DP, so it was nice to see those characters but there is a mystery, and there are a few missing team members.
Pop
This issue was drawn wonderfully, every character and background and scene was straight up smashing! Huge props to Raynor (artist of this book not Green Lantern). It was a treat for the eyes and every page was beautiful. More of the same going forward please, you guys know how much I love a comic book that looks like a real superhero, colorful, extravaganza with good guys looking cool and bad guys looking bad!
Conclusion
Titans #26 is a great jumping on point for new readers, a great reset of ongoing fans and an all around grrrreat read!
