McFarlane Toys Reveals Build-a-Figure Jonah Hex in New Wave

McFarlane Toys has just released a new wave of figures based on the Batman: The Animated Series designs, which also introduces the first ever Jonah Hex figure in the BTAS style.

The line-up includes Gray Ghost, Ra’s al Ghul, Batman, and Killer Croc. If you get the entire wave, then the Build-a- Figure bonus features Jonah Hex. For Batman: The Animated Series mega-fans, that means we’re one step closer to reenacting the episode Showdown that featured Hex versus Ra’s al Ghul during the Wild West.

All of the figures are 6 inches tall and come with a collectible trading card.

Gray Ghost

Gray Ghost is the super hero character that influenced Bruce Wayne to want to become Batman decades later. He was famously voiced by former Batman actor Adam West.

The Gray Ghost figure comes with two pairs of hands-including one holding a pen so he can autograph Bruce Wayne’s copy of the Gray Ghost VHS. In addition to a Gray Ghost VHS, he comes with a gun, a remote control RC car from that episode’s villain, and Jonah Hex’s torso.

Ra’s Al Ghul

Ra’s has been created multiple times from McFarlane Toys. However, the previous iterations were based on the Arkham video games. This is the first time McFarlane has created Ra’s in his BTAS design.

Ra’s comes with three pairs of hands and alternate head where he wears the Anubis mask. This is a callback to Ra’s first appearance in the series in the Demon’s Quest Part 1 episode.  He also comes with Jonah Hex’s legs. Disappointingly, Ra’s does not have a sword, which seems like a staple of the character.

Killer Croc

Killer Croc finally has a McFarlane Toy in the Batman: The Animated Series design.  Just like Ra’s, Croc previous had a figure in the Arkham games design. Here, Croc is more stripped down and grey skinned. Croc comes with 6 hands total and Jonah Hex’s head, knife, and pistols.

Batman

Batman is another redo of McFarlane Toy’s previous attempts at the Dark Knight. This time they decided to give him a cloth cape, instead of the traditional hard plastic one. However, the cloth cape doesn’t quite sit right with Batman’s cowl. Because the cape is not molded to the figure’s body as well, it makes the cowl have an appearance of little points on Batman’s shoulders.

Batman comes with 7x hands total, a yellow batarang, and a grappling launcher. He also includes Jonah Hex’s arms.

This latest wave is a Target exclusive. They go on sale on July 20th, but you can pre-order them now.
