Prime Video has announced the stars who will be playing Batman, Catwoman, Two-Face, and Harley Quinn in the eagerly anticipated new animated series. Let’s just say that everyone at Dark Knight News is extremely excited about the Final Batman: Caped Crusader Casting!

Hamish Linklater, the new Dark Knight/Bruce Wayne, is a celebrated American actor and playwright. He starred as Father Paul in the horror miniseries Midnight Mass, for which he received high critical acclaim.

The new Catwoman/Selina Kyle is the brilliant Christina Ricci. She came to fame playing Wednesday Addams in the movies The Addams Family (1991) and Addams Family Values 1993. She’s starred in numerous films and TV shows since then, including the critically acclaimed series Yellowjackets. She was also Harley Quinn in the podcast series Harley Quinn and The Joker: Sound Mind, released by Spotify in 2023.

Diedrich Bader is no stranger to comics or DC fans, having played Batman in the wonderful Batman: The Brave & The Bold, and Harley Quinn animated series.

The new Harley is Jamie Chung, known for films such as Grown Ups, Premium Rush, The Hangover Part II, Sucker Punch, and Big Hero 6.

Prime and Twitter Page DC Film News have also shared cast photos and some great new stills from the show, which will debut on August 1st, 2024.

A whole host of other stars are mentioned in the Prime video Tweet, at the top of this article. Who they will be playing remains to be seen, but with the show hitting our screens in a little over five weeks, I’m sure that more announcements will be made very soon.

Hamish Linklater is a terrific actor, and his Batman voice is already infinitely better than both Christian Bale’s and Winston Duke’s… so that’s a great start.
