McFarlane Toys Unleashes ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ Line

McFarlane Toys continues to churn out awesome figures, this time they’ve announced a line that’s based on the legendary crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths.

The lineup includes Earth-2 Superman, Kid Flash, Spectre, and Psycho-Pirate. Additionally, when you collect all four characters, you can assemble the Monitor as a bonus figure.

You may have noticed that the designs are based on the 1985 comic book series. This means that the color palette skews brighter and is more visually inspired by the comic series’ artist, George Perez. All figures are 7 inches tall and have at least 12 points of articulation, although it’s probably more based on the images.

They also all come with a figure stand, a trading card with art from the original Crisis comic book, and parts of the Monitor figure. Earth-2 Superman and Kid Flash also come with alternate hands.

Crisis of Infinite Earths Figures Breakdown

Earth-2 Superman (or the Superman of Earth-2, according to the official McFarlane Toys description) is not the modern version of the Man of Steel, he’s the original, original Superman from 1938 who’s much older. The figure features his crustier, mature face. However, I have one minor critique; the Earth-2 Superman’s white hair temples are a little too subtle, they should be more overt.

Earth-2 Superman also comes with alternate opened palmed hands to simulate flying poses. This figure comes with the Monitor’s arms. Interestingly, this is the only figure in the set with a cloth cape. Psycho-Pirate, Monitor, and the Spectre’s are molded plastic.

You can pre-order Earth-2 Superman here.

Kid Flash is Wally West, in his original costume. This purchase comes with the Monitor’s legs, as well as two alternate open hands that look great in a running pose.

You can pre-order him here.

Psycho-Pirate and Spectre do not come with any extra accessories beyond the Monitor’s torso, head, and cape respectively. It’s a shame that they don’t have any additional alternate body parts and a real missed opportunity to not have the Psycho-Pirate have-like- an alternate head where he’s not wearing his Medusa Mask. Oh, well.

You can pre-order the Psycho-Pirate here and Spectre here.

The Crisis on Infinite Earths figure line will hit the online McFarlane Toy shop in March 2024.
