My Beast Friend’s Wedding
So, now we know a few things about the spores that are being fired out of Garro like there’s no tomorrow. After the previous issue and the many World Tour tie-in books, we know. If threatened, a spore will abandon its host, and if a more powerful option is in the vicinity it will abandon its current host and attempt to jump into them. This means the heavy hitters like Superman are on civilian evac duty as, if they were to become infected, you would have a Superman-level animal hero hybrid destroying the world. What we also know is this is what Amanda Waller wanted… kind of.
Amanda’s had a busy few years, she’s invaded Earth 3, formed a new super team, disbanded the Suicide Squad, and tried recruiting multiple people to her cause. She’s had friends and family from many different Earths working for her, is manipulating a Lord of Chaos, AND she’s been pulling the strings of anyone and everyone in the multiverse at least 6 times since Tuesday. Well, maybe not that last part, but the rest we know to be true.
The real question we need to be asking is why? Why did she make Dr. Hate zap Beast Boy causing all this to happen, and what’s her endgame? Only time, and Tom Taylor, will tell…
It Was The Beast of Times, It Was The…
We get to see the work of a new art team in this issue, which is quite unusual for a big event book like this. The good news? They did a fine job. This issue wasn’t as shocking as the first two, but that’s to be expected in the middle of the story; a lull must come to spark a realization of some sort. However, with heroes dropping like flies, who will be the leader of the fight against a Beast World takeover?
Conclusion
Titans: Beast World #3 is a slightly less gung-ho issue, but I’m sure it planted a lot of seeds for things to come! Bring on the next batch of comics, please!
