McFarlane Toys has just given us this amazing new Superboy-Prime Infinite Crisis Patina Edition Gold Label Figure.
This version of Clark Kent comes from an alternate reality where Superheroes and Supervillains were just fictional characters, that is until his Kryptonian powers awakened and he became his world’s only superhuman. After his planet was destroyed during the Crisis on Infinite Earths, he began to lose his mind over time and eventually became a villain.
Clashing with the main DC Universe heroes in the “Infinite Crisis” event, Superboy-Prime was imprisoned in the Source wall, the barrier that surrounds the universe. He was eventually freed when it was destroyed, only to return as a hero again during another crisis to help save the multiverse.
Coated in a special patina paint, a blue-green paint over copper that gives a rust-like appearance, this figure has a unique color scheme. His dark, statue-like appearance is the opposite of its original, Superboy-Prime Infinite Crisis DC Multiverse, which is covered in the bright red and blues that one would expect from the Superman Family.
This Superboy-Prime Infinite Crisis Patina Edition Gold Label Figure can be found at McFarlane Toys, Amazon, Target, ToyStop, Entertainment Earth, and Big Bad Toy Store. He’d also look great next to even more versions of Supes.
