Sideshow Collectibles have just released the jaw-dropping Dark Knight Trilogy Batman Bust! Teaming up with Infinity Studio, Sideshow brings us an incredibly detailed, life-size bust based on Christian Bale’s Batman from the Christopher Nolan trilogy.
With this jaw-dropping bust that stands at a grand 35.67”, the creators chose to focus on the actor’s appearance instead of having him wear a cowl. The details that they capture are so amazing and life-like it’s scary. Using medical-level silicone, they have made the model’s skin textured and ultra-realistic.
His suit and the Bat-Cowl he’s holding, have been painstakingly painted to restore the textures of the armor according to the official materials, while the cape is made from real fabric. The base of the bust incorporates designs and elements of the Batmobile, with the Batman logo and engine exhaust details able to light up as well.
This Dark Knight Trilogy Batman Bust does not come by itself, however. So far, Sideshow and Infinity have also released a Catwoman Bust based on the wonderful Anne Hathaway, as well as a Joker Bust, that’s based on the late Heath Ledger who earned several awards and who many consider to be the best live-action Joker. We can only hope that Bane, played by Tom Hardy, or Liam Neeson’s Ra’s al Ghul will also eventually get their own busts.
