‘Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’ Unveils Gameplay Footage

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has shown off its 4-player cooperative gameplay with brand-new online video footage.

The scene starts with the Squad aka Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang, facing off against a mind-controlled Flash. The hero, along with almost all other Justice League members, is being controlled by the alien entity Brainiac. Apparently, both the Squad and the Flash are after an imprisoned Lex Luthor.

We see the Squad face down various challenges as the trailer toggles between each member of the team. The clip showcases the unique ways the members travel, perform melee attacks, and utilize projectiles. They have to tear through a Brainiac army that’s conquered the streets of Metropolis.

The idea of a more violent co-op version of Gotham Knights sounds promising. Who wouldn’t want to use violent means to destroy nameless robots?

‘How do I stop this?!’

However, the biggest surprise in the trailer is when the Flash succeeds in capturing Luthor only to be stopped by the only Justice League member who isn’t under Brainiac’s thrall: Wonder Woman. Diana utilizes her lasso of truth to interrogate the Flash. “How do I stop this?”

The Flash responds with an ominous: “You have to kill us, Diana. We have to die so you can save the world.”

Chilling.

This does not sound promising for our Justice League heroes. Keep in mind, this was Kevin Conroy’s last performance as Batman before his passing, so the ending will be extra bittersweet for fans.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will be available May 26th on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
