Gotham Knights Release Another Trailer

With the release of Gotham Knights just around the corner, WB Games Montréal have released yet another trailer to tide us over until then. In it, we see more of the game than we didn’t in the previous releases.

In thisnew clip, we see lots of snippets of gameplay with a voiceover of Batman’s last message to his adopted children. We catch a brief glimpse of Mr. Freeze and some great slo-mo action shots of the four characters we’ll get to play as.

Highlighting its 4K resolution, ultra-wide monitor support, extensive customization settings, ultra-high framerates and ray traced reflections, Gotham Knights is ready for any type of gamer. We’re shown a mix of different settings, through shifting scenes of the Bat Family watching over their city from the rooftops.

Game director Geoff Ellenor says:

Gotham, the city, is such a huge character in Gotham Knights. Our whole concept of Gotham was this crazy, layered city.

All the art that resonated with us and made it great. You have a city that wants to be amazing, but it has these layers where not everybody’s having the same experience of what it’s like to live in Gotham City.

While playing through Gotham Knights, players will get taken through 400 years of history to help them solve a crime committed in the present. Uncovering the mysteries of Gotham will help develop playable characters too. We all know by now that The Court of Owls will play a significant part in the main storyline of the game, but the developers have successfully everything else under wraps.

As DC Comics fans know, the Court has been around for a very long time and they like to stick their noses nto everything that happens in Gotham City.

Batman’s death doesn’t just impact his family, but his rougues’ gallery as well. While Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl and Robin set out to replace the missing protector of Gotham as best they can, irector Patrick Reading describes the villains struggle as:

Like our heroes, these are villains that are now having to reassess what their function is, where they sit in the ecosystem when their main adversary isn’t around anymore. How are they going to redefine themselves?

Gotham Knights is set to release on October 25th 2022 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC. Sadly, the PS4 and Xbox One versions were canceled earlier this year.
