Gotham Knights Robin Can Teleport?

The Gotham Knights release date is fast approaching and we’re slowly seeing more and more for the game. With the latest trailer out, we learn that Robin can teleport? It isn’t the same as Red Hood’s ability to jump around Gotham using his soul… ? I’m not going to explain it all again, but his new powers are talked about in the gameplay trailer.

In this footage, it’s very clear that each member of the Bat Family has a wildly different fighting style. Jason Todd uses his guns (muscles and weapons), Dick Grayson’s movements are very acrobatic, and Tim Drake’s style is what I can only describe as “Trained by Batman”. Oh, and he also uses a slingshot. Being the genius that he is, Time also connects to the Justice League’s satellite so that he can teleport short distances. If you worried that this version of Drake wasn’t human, you can calm down, he’s just been messing around with technology again.

Here’s what WB Games Montréal says:

Using teleportation technology from the Justice League satellite, Robin can zap himself across the battlefield, utilizing speed and surprise to his advantage in a fight. What he lacks in experience, he makes up for in natural intelligence, with detective skills that are on par with, if not even better than, Batman himself. Robin deeply believes that Gotham City needs a Batman and aspires to one day take up the mantle himself. And when the time comes, he will be ready.

With this trailer, we’ve now seen three of the four playable characters for Gotham Knights, so we can only assume that a trailer for Batgirl will be out soon, which we’re really looking forward to.

Gotham Knights is set to release on October 25th 2022 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and PC. PS4 and Xbox One versions were canceled earlier this year.

What are your thoughts on what we’ve seen of the gameplay for Gotham Knights so far? Will you be pre-ordering it or waiting to hear the reviews? Tell us in the comments.
