Ryan Reynolds Justice League Snyder Cut Rumors Addressed

With Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League looming, fans have been abuzz with rumors regarding extra special cameos. Most widely discussed? The possible reappearance of Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern.

Snyder’s cut of Justice League has been highly anticipated since the original film came out in 2017. The new version will reportedly have a re-shot ending and will feature an incredible cameo. Although the new film comes out shortly, fans have been speculating which hero might join the Justice League on screen.

The most anticipated possible star to reappear in the DCU is Deadpool‘s Ryan Reynolds. Before he was the merc with a mouth, Reynolds famously played Green Lantern back in 2011, in the film of the same name. Released in 2011, Green Lantern didn’t exactly set the world on fire. Despite some diehard fans, Green Lantern‘s use of a CGI super suit, and other controversies, left fandom divided over its quality.

Despite these disagreements, many enjoyed Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan and were asking on Twitter whether he would reprise the role in the Snyder cut of Justice League?

Straight from the mouth of the merc himself, the cameo will not feature Reynolds as Hal Jordan.

It’s not me, maybe it’s another GL? But for me, the suit stays in the closet. I mean, computer.

Until the release of Snyder’s cut of Justice League on March 18th, theories will likely run like wild. It looks like fans will just have to keep waiting to find out who the surprising superhero cameo might feature.

For now, all that can be confirmed is that Reynolds will not be in the Justice League anytime soon. The ring of the Green Lantern will wait for another hero to take up the mantle.

Watch Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBO Max starting on March 18.
