McFarlane Toys Unveils Their DC Multiverse Line of Collector Figures

The new year seems to be bringing new treats for comic book fans. Last year, it was announced that McFarlane Toys had acquired the rights to produce a line of collector figures based DC’s characters. Yes, that McFarlane Toys, the company known for incredibly high quality figures and vehicles, from the first line of Spawn figures to some fairly grotesque toys steeped in the Horror genre. Yes, the one headed by Spawn creator Todd McFarlane. Well, imagine this toy company working on DC figures. I agree, that is in fact an incredibly exciting prospect. There’s no real need for your imagination any longer, as we have now been treated to our first look of the DC Multiverse line of collector figures.

Deservedly so, the majority of the figures are in fact Batman and Bat-family. Okay, I’ll stop burying the lead.

Batman: Detective Comics #1000

-Batman figure based on the DC Rebirth comic books
-Grapnel Launcher and Batarang included as accessories

Batgirl: Art of the Crime – Part of a 3-figure collector set -Batgirl, Nightwing, and The Batman Who Laughs – that includes a piece of a buildable Batmobile featured in the DC Rebirth comic books. Each figure sold separately.

Great value for the Batfan on a budget

At an absolute steal, prices range between $19.99 to $24.99 USD. As of the unveiling, the DC Multiverse line of collector figures are now available for pre-order. Mercifully, they should hit shelves at major retailers at some point in January.

Personally, I definitely see myself grabbing the B:TAS figure as well as the 3-figure set of Batgirl, Nightwing, and Batman Who Laughs. I also need to nab that sweet Batmobile. Which ones do you think you’ll be grabbing?
