‘Elseworlds’ Will Air Again in January

Fresh off the ratings-spike the CW received due to their latest Arrowverse crossover and back by popular demand, word has just broken that the ambitious event “Elseworlds” will re-air in January. More specifically, January 7 and 8. The crossover introduced Batwoman (Ruby Rose) into the Arrowverse, re-introduced John Wesley Shipp as the 90’s Flash, and gave us the Black Suit Superman fans had been clamouring for in Justice League but never received. Suffice it to say, this one was a crowd pleaser.

“Elseworlds” brought with it season high ratings for the Arrowverse, however this was a surprise to no one. These yearly crossovers have always attracted a large viewership – even those who may not be up to date. On that note, it makes complete sense that the CW would re-air this event in the New Year. This gives fans who may need it time to catch up on prior episodes, or those who just enjoyed the event to enjoy it once more.

Whilst “Elseworlds” was an immediate hit, it also sets the stage for big things to come. Namely, “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” which is slated to be the 2019 annual crossover. Despite Legends of Tomorrow not appearing in “Elseworlds,” there is every possibility an event as huge in scope and scale as “Crisis” would attract every single corner of the ever-expanding Arrowverse.

Let us know what you thought of “Elseworlds” – were you a fan? Did it miss the mark? Either way – will you be watching again? Sound off below!

The Flash and Arrow will re-air on Monday, January 7 at 8pm ET/PT and 9pm respectively. The crossover will conclude the following day with Supergirl at 8pm ET/PT.
