Holy travel agent, Batman! Warner Bros. have just announced something fans have been wanting for a long time: a Blu-Ray remaster of the 1993 classic Batman: Mask of the Phantasm. Serving as a cinematic continuation of Batman: The Animated Series, the film was released to massive success and spawned a cult following in the years that followed. Critics and fans alike have labelled it as one of the best Batman films to date – with many ranking it as one of the best animated films ever – and now it can be yours to take home on Blu-Ray…sometime this year.
Despite the wealth of information on the original post, Warner Bros. have not included a release date, but it’s highly likely that the film will hit shelves this year. Considering the original release was Christmas 1993, it wouldn’t be so out of the question for a December release. Who knows – we may even get another theatrical run! You can checkout the official listing on the Warner Archive Facebook page, or just scroll down for all of the sweet information you may need. Are you excited? Nostalgic?
