The Hollywood elite are planning to convene tonight, where they honor the most gifted in cinema over the last year. The coveted Academy Awards will air tonight at 8:30PM EST. And while Suicide Squad wasn’t quite as popular with the critics as the rest of the nominees, the Acadmey recognized Alessandro Bertolazzi, Giorgio Gregorino, and Chrisopher Nelson for Makeup and Hairstyling.
In a somewhat strange turn of events, the China Times ran a piece on the Makeup and Hairstyling for Suicide Squad. (It’s all in Chinese and Google Translate didn’t decipher it well. Can anybody translate for us?) In it, they released a behind the scenes photo of Harley Quinn in a costume that was never on-screen.

Personally, my first thought was “Wedding dress?!” When would Harley ever wear a wedding dress? It could have been one of Enchantress’s hallucinations, but in the theatrical version, Harley and Joker were a normal couple, clad in normal, suburban attire. Other folks have suggested a prom dress, which also seems like a likely scenario.
Either way, it’s a pretty cool picture featuring another nice costume change for the radiant Margot Robbie. However, it’s just another reminder of a Suicide Squad that we will never see.
