Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo Intend to Reunite in 2017

For the most part, ending the New 52 was one of the better ideas that DC had in recent years. Most people were tired of the concepts introduced into it and Rebirth managed to pull back in some of the veteran readers lost when the New 52 was ushered in.

However, one of the sadder bits of news to come out of the ending of New 52 was that team behind Batman, Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, would be ending their massively popular run on that title and even their partnership. Capullo went to work on a creator-owned title with legendary scriber Mark Millar, entitled Reborn, while Snyder began working All Star Batman, a review of the latest issue you can find here.

The duo was almost as sad to break up as their fan were, but promised that they would reunite. And it looks like they are ready to make good on that promise. Snyder spoke to Newsarama at NYCC last week, where he admitted that he and Capullo will be getting back together in 2017.

Snyder said, “Yes, we’re gonna be doing a big summer event, next year, next summer. It will be very Batman centric, and very rock ‘n’ roll.”

Mark your calendars, Batfans. This dynamic duo will be returning next summer!

Are you ready for your reunion? Let me know.
