CBR reports that Bates Motel’s Alexander Calvert will be taking on the part of Anarky and will make his debut in the second episode of Arrow’s upcoming fourth season.
The official description of the character states that “Lonnie Machin (AKA Anarky) is a deranged freelancing criminal who is willing to do whatever it takes to impress a potential employer.” Anarky’s role in the upcoming show was revealed during last weekend’s San Diego Comic Con, during the Warner Bros. Television & DC Entertainment panel.
Anarky has been an integral part of the Batman universe since his introduction in 1989, in Detective Comics #608. The character is typically portrayed as an antihero and, naturally, an anarchist. Anarky eventually got his own spinoff series, running from 1997 to 1999.
It was also announced that DC character Mr. Terrific will also factor into Arrow’s fourth season and will be portrayed by Echo Kellum.
Season four of Arrow debuts October 7th on the CW.
